CAREERS NEWS FROM MS NEMBHARD
Y9 READY TO TAKE ON THE BUSINESS WORLD WITH KINDNESS & TOGETHERNESS!
Y9 students visited EY in Canary Wharf to explore different careers, particularly in Business and Finance, and develop their key skills and had enormous fun in the process!
Students were introduced to different roles and had the opportunity to network with professionals from the consultancy firm before taking part in a fast-paced, hands-on business challenge and team-building activity. Well done Y9's!
Here are some of their comments:
“The EY trip was a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed doing some new work and learning new skills and the staff we met were all so sweet and kind. I liked learning about their job and experience and the Origami business game we played. I would definitely do it again!”
“ I really enjoyed developing my teamwork and confidence and loved the Origami Challenge and found it so fun. I am proud of our togetherness when we were doing it and I would definitely go again!”
“During the EY Trip, I was able to try new experiences and use techniques and skills like togetherness, teamwork, leadership and communication to achieve our goals and have fun.”
“It was such a fun experience. I enjoyed the teamwork, talking to the people there and 100% do it again ??”
“The EY Foundation visit was so fun. I loved everything about it: the teamwork, introducing myself to the volunteers and the view from the 20th floor is so nice and the people are so kind. Definitely would come back!”
The volunteers remarked how much fun they had themselves and what a brilliant group our Y9 students have been and commended them for their fantastic communication skills and creative negotiation techniques… a team even burst into song to secure a deal at the best price!
We are immensely proud of every single student who attended the visit and look forward to another visit in the future.
