Performance Data
We were very excited to open our doors on 22nd of August for Year 11 Results Day. Having seen some of the fantastic results the day before, we couldn’t wait for some of the students to open their results, and them finding out that they had got some of the best in the country.
Jessie Ko achieved 8 grade 9s getting the highest possible grade in all subjects she took. It was testament to the tremendous effort Jessie put into her learning, whilst remaining a respected and active member of the year group. On average, she achieved more than 4 grades above her minimum expected grade based on her Key Stage 2 starting point.
Xanthe Baveystock achieved 7 grade 9s, 1 grade 8 and 1 grade 7, an average of 3 grades above her minimum expected target based on her Key Stage 2 starting point. Xanthe purposefully worked towards these fantastic results, along with having top level interpersonal skills with her peers and teachers. This was recognised in the awards she got, even before the knowledge of these fantastic results.
Eddie Kittoe achieved 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s. At the beginning of the exams, Eddie came into school with a broken hand due to an accident days before they started. Despite hospital visits and an operation during the exam period, he still achieved these fantastic results. He was over the moon when receiving them, and it is an excellent example of one of our key learner behaviours, ‘resilience’ shining through.
Along with these results, we are also extremely proud of the progress students make whist being at the school. Below, are some of the students who made exceptional progress whilst being at Deptford Green:
Yawika Chirwa – 2.66 grades on average higher than targets based on her Key Stage 2 baseline.
Muthla Nassor – 2.64 grades on average higher than targets based on her Key Stage 2 baseline.
Samuel Huynh -– 2.64 grades on average higher than targets based on his Key Stage 2 baseline.
Overall, results this year saw improvements across many areas. The estimated Progress 8 for the school is +0.1, showing that students are performing above national average overall.
Outcomes for the most able students were the best ever, with the average grade for these students being above 7 and more students achieving grade 9s than ever before. Significant improvements were seen in English, with 69% of students achieving a Grade 4 or above. Students also made fantastic progress in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art, Photography, French, Spanish and Business.
50% of students achieved 5 subjects at GCSE grade 4 and above including English and Maths, and 40% at 5 and above.
Congratulations to the class of 2024! We are so very proud of you.
