Digital Day
On November 10, a group of Year 10 Computer Science and IT students learning were transformed with the BIMA digital day.
Students spent the day working with two executives from Truffle Social Media Agency, embarking on the challenge to create a digital climate change platform. It was fantastic to watch the blue-sky thinking generated by the diverse groups of students. Ideas such as google extension, app that you could use to track and monitor your carbon footprints, as well as games to teach young people about climate change, were some of the wonderful ideas the students came up with. All students displayed our school community values and made themselves proud! Help me to congratulate our team of girls Fathiah(10T), Maria(10F), Holly(10F) and Lorraine(10F) who won the in-house challenge with the concept of a game that teaches people about sustainable lifestyles. Their entry is now off to the national finals. We wish them luck!
