Printing Workshops at London College of Communication
Last week a group of year 9 art students took part in printing workshops at London College of Communications.
Half the group focussed on screen printing while the other half experimented with mono printing.
Both groups explored these techniques from start to finish building on processes they already know and learning new ones along the way. The screen printers realised that patterns and simple shapes with layering delivered exciting and colourful designs.
Alternatively, the mono printers explored illustrative ideas and were able to create beautiful pieces which developed their drawing skills. Both groups outcomes were fantastic and individual. The students said they wished they could have been there all day and look forward to exploring these techniques again in the future!
A big thank you to everyone at LCC for providing such a wonderful experience for our students, we hope to visit again soon! Ms Greenhalgh
