On Tuesday night, some of our most gifted footballers were treated to a trip to Wembley to watch England v Ivory Coast.
Last Wednesday, the year 10 art and textiles classes went on a trip to see two fantastic exhibitions. The first exhibition was at the Tate Britain’s was ‘Life Between Islands’.

Deptford Green School is a reading school and there are so many fantastic projects going on around the school. March is 'Reading Month' and we kicked off with dressing up to Celebrate World Book Day on 4th March.
On a sunny spring day, Year 10s met students reading Linguistics, the History of Politics and Psychology for a Q&A about life as a Cambridge student, from food to accommodation to workload and why they decided to study there.

The year 10 and 11 Restorative Peer Mediators have been going into year 7 and 8 tutor groups every Tuesday and Friday since the beginning of January, modelling excellent learner behaviours and being role models to our KS3 students.
This week our school is participating in the first round of DebateMate's Urban Debate League- a team of six students from across Years 8, 9 and 10 will be competing in a debate on whether countries should ban companies which use negative environmental practices.
Rainforest experience was offered to year 8 as part of their current learning - discovering how life in the Amazon Rainforest is different to their own,
